During the research, parts of speech recognition processes are examined to identify tasks that can be parallelized. Two main tasks were distinguished, which take a little time when running on a single machine. This is necessary to build a language model which will later be converted to ARPA format.
It implements a rigorous programming model; however, it offers its users technical options, such as machine error handling, as well as an automatic processing propagation. Speech recognition research using Kaldi tools was performed on a single machine as it can easily be configured to run on a single machine if it is a supercomputer. Also, the aspect that should be taken into account during the research is the size of the language model.
The decoding task depends on the size of the LM and requires approximately 6 Gb of RAM. Therefore, the new approach using SGE was implemented due to the availability of cost-effective, highly powerful nodes and network tools.
